Default Sylvania Silver Star Ultra Halogen Bulb

Anyone have experience with Sylvania Silver Star Ultra halogen bulbs as replacement for Jaguar OEM halogens?

the ultras are awesome.. in general american sylvania siverstar are total crap.. but the the actual "real' osram silverstar ultras are one of the best bulbs, and also the best pure white bulbs on the market IMO period....

Don't have them in our S-Type, but I did install them in my wife's 2004 Lexus RX330 when one of the factory high-beam bulbs burned out back in January or February. Excellent illumination when needed - she's happy with them....

The ultra seems to have disappeared from the sylvania site as of a couple of months ago.

The euro version is reputed to be better.

If you cannot source osram in the US, try ebay.co.uk, or danielsternlighting.com on the eastern seaboard.

Another user here - not the Jag but the Jeep and they work very well. The ZJ has horrible headlight design/performance, but the Ultra's get performance up to "good enough" from "are they even on?" level. The bad - a deer might actually get "caught in the headlights" now. Whereas before, no chance of that happening.

Default Cost?

What sort of dollars are you lads paying for these Sylvania bulbs and any idea where they are made?
What 'K' are they compared to the OEM?
And anyone know what brand the OEM were?

Cheers

Sylvania ultra $59 a pair...run better than 4000K

Just found Sylvania makes a ZXE bulb ...produces a lure white light above 4000K cost $69 a pair
