tail light bulb

To elaborate on what Rick said, the back of the taillight assembly is a metal plate that conducts electricity to all of the bulbs that it houses. To keep from shorting out your bulbs and fuses while you are working on it, lay a hand towel down on the trunk area where the taillight assembly resides. That trunk area is metal as well, and if any metal part of the taillight assembly comes in contact with any metal part of the trunk area, you're hosed. A hand towel will prevent that from happening and you can change your bulbs with peace of mind (and no sparks jumping from your trunk)....

Any time I have purchased bulbs for my Jags the local parts shops always have to order in the bulbs bacause they are Jag specific. Not the standard bulbs that fit most cars, they are not on the shelf.
The shops mentioned earlier always get them for me in a few hours on the same day if ordered early.
