Default Tech Service Manual

Another newbie question. I did a search and checked the FAQs but didn't quite get an answer I fully understand. First thing I do when I buy something is get a service manual fo it. If I am correct, no hardcopy version exists for these cars? I saw the Jag version available for download in the FAQ but it's asking me to buy some sort of download program.

I looked on ebay and there are several CD Rom versions offered for what seems like almost free...$1.99 & shipping?? Are these the official Jag tech service documents.

Any opinions or advise apreaciated. Lots of great how to info right here. But I have some things like removong the center console & stack that may not have been covered. And I don't want to start breaking expensive parts using trial & error.

Thanks, Jim
