Does anyone know of a way of converting the analog TV in a 10 year old S-Type to digital so my wife will stop complaining that she can't listen to Cornation Street? Surely a 12volt decoder set to ITV could be placed between the aeriel amplifier and the TV unit. Thanks

Pics of the TV? With the new digital tv spectrum, you will have to add some type decoder to as you talked about. What about just adding a dvd player to it?

Is there a plug anywhere to add a DVD player? Assume a Yellow Plug somewhere?

Basically add digital tuner but bear in mind all this is years more recent than the S-Type so not going to be easy or cheap.

but has it been done? Where is the wire that needs to be interrupted and does anyone know of a particular tuner that works (and is 12V)

It seems that when the signals were changing from analog to digital a bunch of converter boxes were available. Not sure how you would connect it in the car you may need a power converter but this is what I found see if this might work.

thanks....this is what we had in the UK and I still have a couple lying about. they have external PSU so are likely to be 9 or 12 volt. The question is: wht is the chance of it working before I demolish the car, and, where is the wire that I will need to interrupt (from the aeriel (antenna) to the analog tuner). Thanks
