Default Thanks and Farewell!

I traded in my '03 S Type 3.0 yesterday, and got a '14 Honda CR-V for the wife.

The S had close to 111,000 miles on it, had the radiator tank seal leak, MIL came on again (P0442), and with a punch list of to do items, I just had enough with this car. Two and a half years, close to $6k in parts/repairs, almost all DIY, too.

Just too much going wrong for a DD.

Got $1,000 US for it, dealer said its going straight to the wholesale/ auction.

I am now using my wife's '05 Ford Escape ( aka Maverick) as my DD.

Most importantly, I want to thank everyone on this forum with their vast knowledge and help, namely abonano, Jon89, JagV8, joycesjag, Gus, Brutal,to name a few!

Thanks again, and without this forum my ownership of my Jag wouldn't have lasted a few months instead of two and a half years!

Take care everyone and good luck with your S Types!

Jimmy

Glad you're happy again, Jimmy. I fully understand your decision. May your current vehicle line-up serve you well for many years to come....

Happy trails to you and Maverick Jimmy! I think I would have pushed Joyce's Jag off a cliff if we spent $6 gees in parts over 2 years.

Come back and say howdy Evey now and then.

Oh, your welcome, glad some of DIYs helped you out!

Jimmy, wishing you the best.

Stay in touch... I think I may be behind you as the 2000 is fast approaching 255,000 miles. I'm aiming for 300,000 miles for the hell of it then I'm retiring and parting out the car!

All is well currently but I hope I just didn't jinx myself... Ugh...

And as you know the 04 XJ8 was traded in for my wife's 17 Murano.

(I think I'll find another X350/358 though before I retire/part out the 2000)

PS - that damn P0442...lol

Default Good Luck Jimmy !

Wish you the best with your new Honda. I've owned four Hondas over the years and never a serious complaint. Honda is a fine automobile... you should expect zero problems.

Good luck, Jimmy! Keep your eye out for a gold '03 S-Type rocketing along the Jersey Turnpike LOL. That blur would be me! Wish you the best, Steve

Reliable? Always! A fun steer? Some are, but the C-RV ain't one of them. The Civic Type R however.....
