I have to agree if you have read the forum you will know that the members like to look at topics from every angle, as soon as you said that you wanted to sell the car it was inevitable that someone would ask the price and then again inevitable that people would have opionions.
It's your car you can value it as you wish, but we are also all allowed our opinion, in this forum at least.

This guy is a car dealers best friend. Deep Pockets, too much of an ego to listen to reason, and no knowledge of the market.
Let him believe what he wants about what his car is worth. It'll be like all the other overpriced STR's that sit on the market for 6 months, a year. I can show you 10 of them that are still for sale 9, 10 months after I started looking.
I be he expected a bidding war to break out over his car. Guys who buy their cars new always act like that.
Take care,
George

Talking about how rich you are and that you think that somehow makes you more knowledgable than others is simply rude where I was brought up...

I actually joined this forum under HoustonSTR years ago but for some reason I could not log into my account and had to make a new one.
I don't have a problem with debating unsolicited advice but the problem is none of you who commented on my price read what I posted. I said I could care less about a margin of $5,000 which means I would probably sell the car for $20,000. That is the frustrating part , you guys want to nit-pick over $5,000 and I already said time and time again I could care less about a margin that small. I was simply looking for an enthusiast who might be interested.
I currently have a Mercedes as well and I am active on Shopforum and prefer that over Benzworld.

If the 5k is as meaningless to you as you claim it to be, and you wanted to sell the car you would have taken it. Not come on here talking about how this isn't an STR for someone who wants a cheap one or a great deal.
I think you turned off most of the enthusiasts by that pfft 22k statement.
No doubt you have a nice car, and I'm sure someone would want it, but the I have my head in the clouds about how much it's worth thing makes me and probably everyone else pass...
I'm on both of the MB forums too, but benzworld has a much better SL section.
Take care,
George

I doubt it, you are the one who seems offended. Sorry

If you would have made this post your first response to the pricing topic, we wouldn't be where we are now. I re-read the thread and didn't see a "time and time again" statements about how you didn't care about $5k on the price, and if so you made that stance all the more confusing by stating you turned down $22k already.
So you want to get some offers, but don't want to get any pricing advice (which is fine, just ignore it), but won't take $22k, but don't care about $5k less than your asking of $25k, but want an enthusiast to buy the car, then go about being kinda rude to George, who actually might have been someone who would be interested in buying that car to start with.
I'm confused dude.

wow... just look at how this tread turn out to be..
i do think respect is the basic for all communication...
once you are emotional .. it is better to just apologize then move on.. but it seems that this dude just make it worse by coming up with stories. (no Offense) , now even the moderators are in the tread...
but then again.. this is a forum.. and this do make this Jaguar forum warm ...
take care...
