I believe someone here asked me why I chose a 1.5 pulley instead of a 2.5/3.0 pulley? A. I didn't want to shave down the blower's nose and potentially weaken the structure. Some have shaved the nose and subsequently suffered cracked blower noses ($$$). B. I would have had to go with a smaller belt (not a big deal). C. After conducting research into the already just about maxed out M112 blower, I'm convinced anything more than 1.5 would cause a loss of power in the midrange and beyond part of the powerband. Going with a 1.5 doesn't proclude me from going with a 2.5 later. D. Mina Galleries offfered the 1.5 to me for $175 vs $250 for a 2.5 lb pulley. E. My 100k mile blower may have worn bearings (there's a shrieking sound coming from somewhere at 5000+ rpm which I thought was a worn belt. F. It's coming off this winter and being sent to Stiegemeyer for a rebuild/port and polish. G. As it stands now the car goes like a bat out of hell and I want to bring her to a track but the struts are shot (has the perpetual marshmellow ride=dangerous around corners, etc.). Yesterday I ordered stock (electronic adaptive, ie CAT) front struts from JagBits ($700/pair). When these are in the H&R Sport lowering springs I had sitting around for two months can now go in with a proper wheel alignment. I'll have vids and hopefully a track run soon.

Hey PHil, any updates on the install of the Magnaflow Hi flow Cats or exhaust? I didn't get a chance over the weekend to head over to Meineke to get an estimate on the install of the Spun cats, hopefully this week when I get the time will do. Any how, if you have any updates do tell us how it went

To anyone using Mina Galleries "Porsche" style exhaust tips: The whistle/shrieking sound while under heavy acceleration is not your blower bearings screaming but the 'Whistling" created by the separator between the twin conjoined exhaust tips. It took me a month to figure this out while shivering of the thought of a blower uninstall-rebuild-install ($$$$) LOL!

Magnaflow muffler
Hi Jag79,
Magnaflow Summitt Racing part number: MPE-11226 $69.95/each.
I believe they are 14" body 18" overall length. Don't quote me on the dimensions but the part # is def. what I installed as I'm reading this off my original Summitt Racing reciept. The OEM mufflers are def. very restrictive (three glass-packed chambers).
