What voltages correspond to the claimed meanings? It's basically junk unless those are right.

I can’t make out the brand, but I think that’s just a glorified voltmeter. The various lights come on at predetermined voltage levels. Unfortunately, the setting for the battery itself is probably based on a wide range of cars, and not the higher level a 2003+ Jag requires.

Here’s one of my testers, an Ancel BA101:

It’s pretty high tech for a consumer grade device, but a little finicky as previously mentioned.

i have this its a dealer grade load / cca tester . with in car and bench and ambient temp presets .
it was $600nzd about 12 years ago so no cheapie .

as for the $20 one shown by Russell11 , i have one as well . made by projector australia .
it is primarily an alternator checker and this function works well .
and doubles as a battery condition tester . as a battery tester it works on the same principal as the after ten minute voltage check ( i see repeatedly about the 12.6v after 10 min ) . seen on the back of mine is the instructions . in this case the car lights must be on and this tester shows a failed battery if it goes below 11v too quickly. quite lame really . but its good for the money i suppose ,
i have had my moneys worth over the years with this little tool .
