Default Time for some new tyres/tires

I have 19" wheels and the current standards have lasted a 44,000 miles

Any suggestions on the best tyre to go for?

I have the Barcelona 19" wheels and made the switch from the Stock Pirelli tires to the new Continental DW Extreme Contact, and I'm so impressed. Way better handling, MUCH quieter ride and the price is half the Pirellis.

captain.

I use Conti extreme sport. I love these tires. They will last but will develop noise with about 10,000 left on them. Great for non slip conditons like DFW .

This is a very open ended question and many guys will refrain from answering due to difference in opinon.
Some are looking for the cheapest or good in winter etc, etc.
There a about 4 things that get asked constantly on here and all are subject to personal preference and everyone has their favorite and why.
Tires, what kind of oil, what brake pads and what kind of fuel do you use.
No answer is a wrong answer just an opinion.

Not many S-Types use 19" rims. I understand the usual tire choices (for 16,17,18") may not be available or may be very differently priced for 19".

chris, do you also have the 19" Barecelona wheels or are your tires at least the same as factory size for 19s?

seems like you run it pretty easy to get so many miles out of a set. I got almost 40k miles out of my set but I have the 18s.

I don't know what you call them, apart from wheels!!! lol They have 10 or so spokes, look really good and curb rather easily (ask the MIL).
I did make a mistake, they are only 18"

I don't get to drive it as much as I'd like, it really gets left behind for the wife and MIL to use while I'm at sea.

The Continentals sound like a good move so far.

There's an almost 2 year old thread on tires with recent updates. See: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=38925
