Concur with Riski. You and I have silver STR's whilst Riski has black, so black wheels go with his. IMO, like mine, your car looks better with same color wheels as car. Bring her wheels back to silver, lower her, and tint her just a tad darker than stock. Hope we didn't offend U. Happy Holidays.

Tip for taking pics of cars (and most other things)...make sure the subject is in the sun and not the shade. Makes it easier to see the subject.

Not offended, I have been around too many forums for that (as long as its constructive). Not sure if I like either I wanted a matte black like on my 993 it does work because of the dark green like Riski's. I will lower it tint window's and a must exuast that probably a dark grey/silver on wheels but had to try the black. Really in life it doesnt look bad and the pics were just some quicky's I know position and time of day wasnt right.
Thx for input, Jeff

Riski, Is your metallic green stock? Jeff, your color scheme may grow on you and us...ya never know? People don't enjoy immediate change.

Jeff I dig it with the chrome lugs. Once you get the windows tinted it will have a whole different look. I think it looks good. With the tinted windows you'll have the dark windows to help accent the black rims. I think everyone will change their mind once the windows are tinted and if you get the chrome strip in the back either black or body colored (I like body colored). I have the same color as you and if my rims werent chrome I'd have them black like yours.

Funny but the past few days as I have been driving and looking at the car at different angles it is growing on me. I think tint and lowering will put it together, I can always change if needed in future.
Thx, Jeff

I've been mulling over the black wheel issue for my midnight STR. Found a pic on ebay of one for sale with black painted Zeus wheels, which is what I have. Decided it was just too much black. I didn't think you could have too much black...but for me it would be. And I generally love the black wheel look and most cars, regardless of color.

The moral of the story: the only person who has to like the color combo is you!

Okay, I have a question about the airbox flap removal. As I was installing my K&N drop in today it occured to me that the opening is below the actual air filter. Does this not allow raw unfilitered air to continually enter the intake? Am I missing something here?

No if you think about the design while looking at it. The air comes from the bottom through the filter and then into the snorkel over to the intake and into the throttle body. Thats why the bottom of the filter is always dirty cause thats where the air is hitting it before being filtered.

Hmm, I guess I need to look at it more closely. I'm at work and drove my truck so I'll investigate more tomorrow. Thanks for the info Vance, I feel better. lol
