Default Torque for intake and Valve Cover

On a 2000 Jaguar S-Type 3.0> Is the Torque for the intake 10NM (7lbs) same as the Valve cover? Just making shour if I was right. Thanks

I don't want you thinking that you are getting ignored. The only way I can help is that on a 2005 3.0, the torque values are 10Nm (7 lbs) for both the intake and valve covers. Which is I am guessing the same as your 2000 3.0.

Best to check JTIS but heck why would they not be the same!

Main thing is not to overtighten. Which is what people do soooo often.

No Rick! I don't think that I'm being ignored by you all, but my wife is another story. LOL I just didn't know what was (NM) stand for. I got to replease my sparkplugs so I was doing valve cover gasket too because they are bad.

Fancy foreign stuff (Newton meters / metres - don't you love spellings). Imperial stuff would be lb ft (pounds feet), often shortened to lbs. It can be fun to try Wolfram's Alpha with all manner of units to see how it copes and explains itself.
