Default Traction Control Light Staying On

Hello fellow members , a small problem has occurred with our 2001 Jaguar S Type Sport 3.0 .. Earlier on in the week the car was serviced and since it returned the warning light on the dashboard is illuminated , warning that the traction control is switched off ( amber wheel skidding style light ) but on checking the switch next to the sport control button in front of handbrake , the light on the switch comes on then off as normal , yet leaves the light on dashboard . Been back to garage and they say that the light was not on during the service and it must be a very recent fault , but cannot determine what it might be. Does anyone have any experience of this fault and how to fix it , best regards , pauljag ..

Hi Paul, see if the mechanic will be nice enough to read the ABS system to obtain the code(s)

Yes, this. It's usually a wheel-speed sensor, I've had two of those pop in about five years.
