Re all modern cars and battery power.
Most of us get in the car and pretty much immediately fire up the motor. Those first few seconds that the ignition first passes pos.II all the cars electronic systems are going through their power-up procedure. At precisely the same time the starter sucks juice out of the battery like ***** on piece-rate !!!
Consequently without a few seconds delay before firing the motor the battery has to supply power (ie current) in loads of different directions instantly. A new good quality high CCA battery will do the job with ease, but an aging battery might show 12.3v on a test meter but cannot deliver the dollop of amps when demanded.
