Transmission Slip? Not sure of Problem
I searched through the for but couldn't quite find what I was looking for...
I have a 2003 Jaguar S-type R Supercharged with about 100 000 miles.
So I'm not sure if my issue is a big problem, or even if it is an actual problem:
When I'm at a dead stop and I speed up, the gear change from first to second seems very slow, almost as if it was a standard transmission shift feel.
And sometimes when it changes gears, weather 1st 2nd 3rd 4th, it kind of "Jerks" a little bit, not super hard, kinda feels like it changes too fast.
And a couple times, when I tried givin' her more from a dead stop, it would rev up to 3000rpm, then lag to change from 1st to 2nd, almost feeling like theres no power. I thought it was a slip at first but the Rev meter dosen't go up it just stays at where its at then finally changes gear.
Let me know if you know anything or have hurd of this thanks!

I am by no means real savvy with this 6 speed trans, but autos are autos when you cut through all the add on technology.
At your mileage, when was the fluid last changed. If the answer is never, or unknown, then I would have that above #1 on my "to do list".
Fresh fluid does wonders for nearly all transmissions I have been involved with. Not all have become "sweet", as some were way past saving before the fluid change happened.
I know its a "sealed for life" transmission, however long that is, but down here bulletins/word of mouth/etc are rife with suggestions to fluid change this, and other so sealed transmissions, at about 80-100K kms, mmmm.
A Ford (same 6 speed unit) in our group did a fluid change at 110k kms, and the improvement in shifting/general smoothness, was dramatic, according to him.

Can you work on the post a bit? I can't really tell what you are talking about??
At the very least check the fluid level (properly! It's not that easy.) and it would be much cheaper to change the fluid and filter before tearing into the transmission.
Oops! Sorry you said the fluid has been changed but again it is not real easy and are you sure it was filled properly?
Who did the work and what do they say after the fluid change?
