What is the difference between the S-type R tranny and v6 S-type and does anyone know the max load that can be transfered through the valve body and tranny?

 

Well the 6HP26 they use in the STR is rated for 600 Nm (450 ft lbs ) maximum input torque, I don't know if they used a different model in the V6 though..

 

Take that back, I'm almost certain that the V6 received the same ZF 6HP26..

 

Yeah I'm pretty sure the V6 received the ZF in 2004, I think they had Ford trannies before that.

Yeah I know they weren't very good. I think I'll be safe with the ZF for turbo I want to add. I can't find any compnay that would upgrade the Tranny for more torture but I know I will. I spoke with Swift Reacing and the tranny expert was not in they will see what they can do. They work alot on the IS300's. I am looking for someone that works more with BMW's and I also see the the new Hyundai Genesis comes with ZF so I will keep my eyes open.
