Talking trany oil filter advise ???

hey guys . I like to service the transmission filter , oil …..

I understand filter involves getting the pan too .. oil type should I get new pan gasket too ?? and where to get them at ? I don't like to spend more than 150 if possible 200 max .. input appreciated -gracias

I think it will cost more but try Genuine ZF Parts

If your just replacing the pan you should be within your budget...lol

Parts alone to do it right are around $300 if your doing the job solo. Double that if you take to a shop.

Agree with jagv8....might be extra, but genuine zf will protect the way expensive transmission....you can use ford mercon sp for the fluid and save some, but i would stick with the zf hard parts

I like CTSC oil kits . so I m going for that I m just gonna make sure Product ID : 26 28 32 ock is the right one ! my 05 stype has a 5 speed transmission NOT 6 thought !!

Huh?????

Are you positive about that?


On the left side of the J-gate, what is the highest number?

If 4, then D = 5.

if 5, then D = 6.

I used CTSC oil kit and it was very good.

If your inclinded... check out those trans cooler hoses between the engine and radiator. Here is a post I made about this subject --> https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...h-tips-215808/

thanks guys , I did get a confirmation from CTSC they have the right kit .. I will be ordering it also I will be flushing the fluid out of the oil cooler lines thanks Wydop..

thanks Jackra_1 Im going to keep that in mind ! I do have a mini sump pump I bought from ebay a while back I used to suck all the steering fluid out of bmw reservoir perhaps that may work to suck the fluid out of the cooler lines ??

It probably would work for that purpose.
