Tried changing lugnuts and one broke

First shame on you for not changing the lugnuts
Ok now before taking it to a shop, go on ebay and buy a set of lugnuts for a RX330 which are one piece....once they arrive go to tire shop and have them remove all the originals and replace them with the new ones.
You will never have problems with stripped pulled yanked etc lugnuts!

Had to take it to my garage because it's not coming off. I got a emergency lug nut remover. That rounded it off farther. I pounded a smaller socket onto it. Rounded it off smaller yet again. Even after heating it up, using pb blaster, wd40, and trying to drill a couple of holes to put some screws in the nut. They bent also.
So I had to take it to a shop to get it done. I wasn't trying anything else. Glad this happened before I got a flat though,(glass half full), while trying to do preventative maintenance.
Another bit of outstanding news. I broke a bleeder screw on the drivers side outside caliper trying to bleed the brakes! I'm retiring from working on the Jag for awhile, more than likely forever though.
It's five o' clock somewhere!

I just found out about the lug nuts. Needed to get underneath and removed a tire for better access. One of the caps was spinning so had to pry it off with a screwdriver and use an 18mm socket to get the nut off. Who in the hell designed these things anyways? Satan? Am sourcing one piece today for all around the car. And what the hell is this Jag lug wrench? Doesn't fit properly, not sure if that isn't part of the problem

Do a search. There's a wealth of information on this subject.
This happened to me a few months ago when I learned of getting rid of the stock two piece nuts. Driver's side front wheel. The nut would not come off, finally broke off with the "flanged" part still in the hole of the wheel, the hex part broke off.
I searched this forum and finally used a hole saw, 3/4" I believe it was. You actually drill into the center of the lug, I used a set of drill bits and stepped up until it matched the size of the bit on the hole saw. Then I used the hole saw to get inside the hole and grind out what was left of the nut. Used alot of cutting oil also. The stud has to be replaced.
I lucked out because only one broke on me, the rest came off, although I was surprised at the amount of rust on the studs. Never saw that on a car before, and I've owned quite a few cars in my time.
Try to do this yourself. As luck would have it, I was scheduled to get new tires, and it broke days before, I went around to a few garages, they didn't want anything to do with it, and one garage said they'll use a torch, my wheel will be ruined, but don't worry that I'm sure I will find another wheel cheap on eBay or craigslist! Wow......
Good luck, not a hard job, just patience and get the right drill bits to drill out that stud.
PS I wound up buying replacement wheel nuts of which were Dorman brand, # 611-229. They fit and work great. Torque to 95 lb-ft.
One more thing. Buy a 1/2" breaker bar, and a socket that fits the lug nuts you buy. ( My Dormans were stock size, 19mm I believe) keep that in the boot, withe the jack. Forget about that stock Jag lug wrench!

This happened to me when I tried to fit locking nuts on my 2005 Jaguar XJR. Took 1/2 a day at a garage that "made" a tool to chisel the broken lug nut off. The dealer I bought the car from paid for everything.
Make sure the one piece replacement lug nuts fit exactly with no movement inside the wheel hole they fit in. Somewhere in this forum a person suggested a particular Toyota one piece lug nut for my car. They "floated" about a 1/32" in the holes of the wheel.
I have 19" wheels. The lug nuts I used, which are an exact fit, are Gorilla 73138T for Toyota/Lexus and the lock nuts are Gorilla 7363IT. I got them on Amazon and they were not at all expensive.
I also did as suggested by Jimmy 68 with the 19mm socket and a braker bar as the Jag stock lug wrench is worse than useless.
