Trim Question

Hi,I'm going to be installing a double din headunit in my S-Type, to replace the OEM system. I have a fascia adaptor to ensure a neat install, but it doesn't seem to be the right colour to match the centre console plastics (the AC panel and the Hazard light panel)I was planning on remidying this with some vinyl dye on the fascia adaptor - but I'm having a hell of a job finding out what the colour of the plastic actually is.I've rung my dealer, given them the chassis number, and they produced this report on my car:Trim DetailsTrim: Dove / Granite Sport Paint: Midnight 2003 Mc 1959 Trim Items: Sport TrimGranite / Granite FaciaNimbus Grey Headlining Granite Carpet Twin Needle Stitching Dove / Granite Warm Charcoal Seatbelts Dove Stitching AluminiumThe fascia is shown as being 'Granite', but I believe that this just means the dashboard colour, not the centre console. Does anyone know what this colour is? It's a very dark grey, almost black - but not quite. And if you do know what colour it is?Many thanks,Jason

I don't have a direct answer for you but if it was me I'd go to a body repair supplier and ask them to match the color for you. They should be able to provide you with a mix that is compatible for plastic and is of the correct sheen. If it's any consolation, the Jaguar accessory Satellite Radio has a trim bezel that is off color to the rest of the center stack. It is more Black than Charcoal. Very frustrating.

Is that the 99-9501B kit?

I've just jumped and ordered one. Shipping to the UK costs more than the kit though!
