Default Trouble Code P240C - Any Help Appreciated

I have a 2008 S-Type 4.2 with 110,000 miles.

My engine check light has come on in the last couple of days and my ELM327 gives me the error code P240C. Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Heater Control Circuit High.

It has no effect on the cars performance and I can turn the light off with the ELM temporarily but would like to get to the bottom of the problem.

Has anyone else had this problem which they have solved in the past? Help appreciated.

You could always use Search and see what other(s) did.

Are you sure that's the code? The C on the end is not normal?
Maybe a P2406? or P2402?

That is the code from theELM 327, it has proved reliable on my other Jags. The ELM also found that fault description from that code.

That is a the first thing I did in all of the forums as I usually find the solution. Nothing this time so I enquired.

There's at least one thread. But why over-think? You know the code and what it means.
