Default Trunk/boot dashboard release is dead

The trunk release button in the dash is not even making a sound like it is trying to work. My remote button works fine. My first thought was a fuse, but it seems the fuel door release and trunk release would run from the same one. I could be very wrong here, I haven't had any time to test fuses or to read about it. Another (I'm assuming unrelated) issue is the flicking headlights (posted in an older, headlight related thread). Any thoughts?

I wouldn't assume how things are wired! Check the Electrical Guide
(On the net and in JTIS.)

Hey, just wondering if the valet button in your glove box is on. If it is then just press it again to turn it off. Your trunk should then work frm the dashboard. I forget about this from time to time myself!
