TSB access
I can't seem to access this TSB you posted on front tire inner wear. If it is still a good web address, can you suggest another way to get it (also interested in the one for brake pad replacement).

I see, since you need it in a pinch, I pulled the pdf off of the forum server and hosted it on my personal space. You should have no problem getting it now.

Anybody got any information on 2005 S Type, 4.2L, Headlight and self-leveling mechanism? The Jag dealer said they are 1500 dollars each for the new assemblies, but both are shining and do try to come up just a bit when ignition is turned on but only shine out about 10 to 15 feet max. I'm kind of WAG'ing that maybe there is a problem with the self-leveling thingy but I don't even know where to look for it just in case I can find some kind of "Obvious" problem with it.... HELP PLEASE!!!! :-)

early this year and they were replaced under warranty. Dealer said they cost $1,000
each. They actually replace the entire headlight assembly.

Excellent listing of TSB's ...... Well done for all the hard work and dedication
Having quickly scanned through them, is there one regarding the test procedures for the transmission rotary switch on an XK8 (MY 1998.75) ?
Many thanks

Hi Sarge,
Instead of laying out $3000 to replace the self-leveling mechanisms on my 2006 S-type, I opened the bonnet, took the front cover off and revealed the headlights.
You will see adjusting screws for up/down and left/right.
Adjust the headlamps as if it were a 2000 Ford, ie, park in front of a wall at night and raise the lights.
Very few of us need headlamps that adjust to every bump in the road.

Its actually not the self levelers that usually go. Its the housing that holds them breaks and they point at the ground. Here is a link to a video on what to do. I bet if you do that your headlights would most likely level again.
