Yes. It was all just a dream and as I posted well over a year ago. He has now completely disappeared after the massive claims this is easy and we are experts. Blah, blah, blah!

Buy an STR they are dirt cheap these days and this list can help with any problems you have. At this late date pretty much all the problems have shown up and we have fixes for them.

The turbo kit for the Lincoln LS crashed and burned too but to be fair at least two cars I know of did install the turbo and get it running. Both however ended up removing the entire thing.
So it will work.

Just a dream and lofty claims? I've built two kits. Two vehicles that run the same chassis as you, and their still alive and kicking. I had to back away because of internal company reasons at the time. I'll happily sell you the pipes or a kit (www.btifab.com), but you'll have to do the tuning yourself. I think it is funny when people assume the worst, but hey some people on this site are convinced that your cars are pristine and should never be touched. So yah, I guess just lofty thoughts. Forget it, not practicable.

 

if I want wanted practical I would have bought a Toyota. im looking for a show plus performance car. my dime my time. im just seeing whats out there. and if its possible. I drive a 2003 stage saab 9-3 and will blow the doors off most stock v8 and some tuned ones. I love the wow factor so if it works it works if not next project. I always wanted a Jag and got one for a steal. so its time to build.

Should have bought an R model if you wanted 'show and performance'. Adding a couple of pipes to route exhaust and airflow through a turbo is only a fraction of whats required in a complete 'turbo kit'.
If the R model didn't exist, and wasn't as cheap as it is, i would say, sure, lets explore this idea. But an R model with a potentially upgraded supercharger is the most practical way to make power and have fun with your S-type.

I bet you could fab together an STS type rear mount turbo with parts off eBay. All you would need is a shop you can cut and weld pipe really well, then copy someone else's setup for boost, etc. good luck!

Why even make S-Type turbo kits? S-Type R is a thing! Seriously, if there was any Jag you should Turbo, it should be X-Type! if you do make a Turbo Kit for the V6 X-Type, let me know, I'll be your first customer.

 

On their website, they show a kit for $4500 or just a pipe kit for $1200. Check it out. The website states the kit is for a Lincoln LS, Jag S Type, and a Ford Tbird.
