turn signal problem

I wonder if anyone else has had this problem:
the turn signals on my new S-type spontaneously
start blinking while I'm driving -- and it typically
takes a lot of juggling with them to get them to
stop. It started with only the right turn-signal
doing this, which I could then stop by briefly
using the left-turn signal. But now it happens
with both, and gets much harder to stop.
What could be the cause? Bad software, or
something simpler?

I remember it would do something similar to this on my S, but the problem was a fuse. The fuse apparently wasn't completely blown, just partially. LOL(don't ask me how). I guess the filament still made a little contact. I would check the fuses first. It only takes 2 minutes and ZERO dollars.
