Hello friendly Jag lovers,
I have a 2002 (pre facelift) S-Type 4.0. A few months back it developed a rough idle/misfire situation. It threw a code 0304. I changed the plug and coil and the problem was solved.
An intermittent misfire (while idling or going up hill) returned about 2 months later, this time no code or check engine light.
Now........the car turns over but will not start at all, I am not sure if this would be related to the misfire situation.
The RPM's don't budge when turning over which I read on the forums probably indicated a faulty or dirty Crankshaft Position Sensor.
I was wondering if anyone could send me a diagram of the Crankshaft Sensor location. I tried downloading the JTIS but couldn't get it to work on my computer.
Any advice is appreciated, thanks! The people on these forums are the only thing that make it possible for a dunce like me to keep this Cat running!
