update. heat only when im doing 70+ mph
So I said I had my power steering belt replaced and no heat just cold air. But can't get hood open to check coolant.
So coming home from my gfs house I was freezing and said please let it work Lol
I was doing like 75, it got warm I noticed the faster I drove the warmer it got and when I drop below 60 it gets cold again...
I've since tried this overnn over. Needless to say I only have heat when I'm on 1-95 & 295
I made an appointment to have the mechanic look at it but it's like a 3 week wait....

For the hood. Abonano post 13 in the link below might work to get it open.

Hilary, You might have a stuck release cable.
Scroll up to post #6(Paul792 post) on this page and click on the link.
Read through the posts or just scroll down to post #13. This might be an easy fix to your problem.
Also have a friend help you. (As stated above by Cee Jay) Have them pull up and hold the hood release and push down and pull up on the hood. Or you hold the hood release and have them do the work :-)
It might just be a sticky latch too.
Good luck.

Um the s type r has three water pumps one conventional mechanical one on the front of your engine , and two electric pumps one for the supercharger charge cooler system strapped to the RH lower side of the inter cooler behind the bumper ! And one for the heater at low engine speeds ! The heater water pump is on the right hand side of car under the header tank bolted half way down the back side of the radiator fan shroud just a above & beside the heater dccv valve !
Depending on were the bonnet pull has failed witch is generally at the dash leaver end on the fords this has worked for me , un bolt the leaver from the dash and pull the inner cable with some grunty plyers! If it's broken at the other end then that will be way more fun to say the least!
Any way when or if you get your bonnet up then check all fuses
If none are blown you will be most likely replacing your axillery
Water pump and bonnet cable!
