J & J,

I just bought the car weeks ago. Original owner with records of Dealer service. Took it to a Jag mechanic who checked it out also did an OBD check it had no codes. Naturally, never saw any flashing prior to owning it, no warranty. The service records have no mention of the DCCV. I have a theory that it flashes in "Auto" mode but not in manual climate control mode....we'll see. The flashing is annoying and if it persists I had the same thought of replacing it before it fails. May still try to repair my own and hope for an easy obvious burned circuit. On a side note I went to the local dealer (who did all its service) yesterday and inquired about a "Service Action" I pulled off this site. Number S518 V2 titled "V6 Coolant pump hose rupture" for '04 & '05 stypes andXJ's.I had no record of it performed so I asked the dealer if they could tell me if it was done. Even though my model year and vin# was correct he told me it was for UK cars only?? Sounded iffy to me. While there the parts guy said he talked to his boss and I could have the CCM for $1410. I'm sure you'll be hearing more from me. THANKS!!

I only see it for the UK. If you're sure it's USA too, get hold of Jag Corporate.

So much for my theory, drove it yesterday for 3 hours not even a flicker on my climate control module. Started it up four times already today and three of those four it was blinking. DCCV looks dry A/C works fine. Hoping that before it drives me crazy someone reads this and has the miracle fix. I can always try replacing the module with used ebay IF that is my problem and not something else. 05 stype 3.0.

Maybe there are codes stored in the module to help diagnose the issue? (Dealer tool or AutoEnginuity)

Also, it's cheap to measure the current drawn by the DCCV. It's been covered multiple times, and fairly recently.
