Check out www.easycare.com They have 4 flavors of coverage: Powercare; Primarycare; Statedcare and Totalcare. I have Totalcare and it looks quite comprehensive.

I have 30 days to cancel and get money back.
I put $250 down and 185 a month for 24 months or Cost of $4670 for 4 years 100K.

My thoughts are this,
Put 200 a month away for any problems and possibly save $4600. I have 44K on my 03 STR and dont forsee 4500 in work needed over next couple yrs.

So question is this,

Do I cancell and store some money in-case something happens?
Do I keep coverage and hope it is as good as they say it is???

Just looking for some stories of reliablility or non reliability or even experience of US fidelis.

thank you guys.
i would....if i could cancel mine.

$4,600 is a ton of money to be spending on an extended warranty. I'd look elsewhere for similar coverage at much better pricing.

Recent factory warranty repairs required on our 2005 S-Type 3.0 have caused me to take a second look at my decision earlier in the year to forego purchasing a third-party extended warranty. Our factory warranty runs its course on July 18th so I still have nearly two months left to get every little quirk in the car taken care of by Jaguar before they get to step away. I'm not yet convinced that an extended warranty will be money well-spent from our perspective. I've never needed one before but I know that these S-Types can be finicky from an electronics standpoint. If I wind up changing my mind and purchasing an extended warranty, it will be because of the complicated electronic modules. I still believe that the engine and drivetrain are relatively safe bets as long as the vehicle is properly maintained and not driven like a bat out of hell day in and day out. That being said, I have already earmarked a couple grand for common problems that may indeed pop up with this car over the next two or three years....

is it 4 years from the date you buy the warranty? and 100k miles total? you have to be careful a lot of them define even these basic things in tricky terms.

For 4 years true total coverage and $0 Deductible (only way to go) its not a bad price for piece of mind, are you keeping it for the full 4 years though?

By the way I liked the E55, 6 series and 911 South Florida is the 561 i take it? and you missed out on the Sebring 12 hours jaguarforums meet!

Good luck to you. I'm still leaning towards not purchasing an extended warranty as well. I'll need to make my final decision by mid-June....

Did that price include a new master cyl.? My car did the same thing. The dealer replaced both the module and the master cyl. When I asked they said it was a "normal precaution" when the abs module freaks out. I say this because you say your going to get the work done under warranty. My car is still under factory warranty, so maybe my dealer was being overly cautious. And sorry I don't have any experience with USFidelis. I got mine with the Select Edition already part of the transaction.

CONCERNING US FIDELIS:

Government Actions
On March 6, 2008, the Missouri Attorney General filed suit in St. Charles County Circuit Court against Dealer Services doing business as National Auto Warranty Services for sending consumers postcards and letters informing them that their warranties were about to expire, and that it was offering them their final chance to purchase a renewed, extended auto warranty. The Attorney General claimed the company failed to inform consumers that it was not affiliated with the dealers or manufacturers of the vehicle, and that it was offering to sell motor vehicle extended service contracts instead of warranties. In addition, the company violated the Missouri No Call Law by calling Missourians who were on the no call list as well as federal telemarketing laws by contacting consumers by phone and failing to honor their requests not to be called. The suit is pending.

In addition to the aforementioned action, in April 2009, it was revealed that 40 attorneys general across the nation have launched a coordinated investigation into the industry. According to the Missouri Attorney General's office, those states are now negotiating a settlement with the company.

On Wednesday, April 22, 2009, the Missouri Department of Insurance sued owners Darain and Cory Atkinson, and their company, demanding they comply with a subpoena.

I was thinking about getting US FIDELIS as well. But when I did a research on the company, people where saying that it a scam. Read a couple complaints where people took they car to get fix when it was time for US FIDELIS to cover the cost the company came excuse to get out of paying leaving you stuck with the bill

I need to mention one thing.. Do a search for Jon89's post on warranty coverage. He did a bunch of research. I would heed PHD's hints... Looks like this could be a scam. Nothing worse than paying for a warranty then having to pay the bill as well...

Default This is what I bought

I bought a 2002 XKR in December 2008 and researched extended warranties extensively. I settled on one that gave me 50,000 miles and 48 months from the date of the purchase. The car had about 50,000 miles on it, so I'm good until the car reaches 100,000 or I've owned it for 48 months. The coverage is very comprehensive and covers everything except normal wear items like bulbs, brakes etc. It does cover everything else, right down to the antenna motor, seat motors, navigation system, etc. Even has limited coverage on the tires and a towing/rental car allowance. There is a $100 deductible per occurance and the cost was less than $2500. I can take it anywhere with certified mechanics, but I'll take it to a Jag dealer if at all possible.
Also, if I remember right, the warranty company has been in business over 20 years and rated A-1. I have the papers from my research, but can't find them right now.
