Default On using diagnostic Tool

Hello,

Where can I go to get what the normal readings are for a jaguar 2003 S-Type? What I am saying is, what is the normal rpm when idling after warm up, massive airflow rate (MAF), fuel pressure, Intake manifold pressure, and various other specifications.

Though I have had my diagnostic tool for awhile, I am still unsure what I am looking at, if the readings are telling me anything significant about the performance of my car.

I use torque with an ELM OBDII bluetooth. I has directed me to a bad 02 sensor and IMT.

I drive about 50 miles one way to work, and I have the ability to watch the different readings, but they don't make much sense. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

There will be a range for most of the values and the best idea is to find the range for your own car while it's working OK and in the place you use it (because altitude, humidity etc all matter). It will be a lot of work and you may drown in data. You are sort of asking "what should all of my body's many vital signs be normally, oh and at the moment I'm ill".

Some of the data is probably in JTIS.

I'd figure out what few data you could cope with that would actually be useful and why, then start there.

Torque is pretty crude and the limited screen size will make it harder for you than normal....
