That might explain some of the miserable experiences owners have had with their cars while at main dealers.

Did Duncan mention that by resetting the computers all anti pollution system have to re-perform a self test- which might take days or hundreds of miles of driving and in the interim would cause a fail during an emission test?

He may have known enough 15 years ago to get by but seems to pass on WRONG information about S-Types. Seriously, not joking, you don't want to trust a word he says unless you check it is actually correct. It's far worse to go off on the wrong road than find out what the right one is.

With the workshop manual a free download, and the Tech Guides mostly are as well, you can just find what Jaguar actually say instead of someone who is wrong.
