Default Vinyl wrap in Pacific Blue

Hello everyone,

I have had the unfortunate experience of some paint coming free from the hood during washing. Nothing too terrible but when including the accumulated chips from driving, I am kinda disappointed. Everything else is in super condition.

I don't want to go to the extent of repainting the car so I am wondering about vinyl wrap. Does anyone know of a match for 2004 Pacific Blue? It is an amazing color but I would like the hood to be as nice as the rest.

Advice appreciated,
Steve

You can pay as much for a top quality vinyl wrap as for a re-spray!
Obvioulsy there are always cheap options available.

Go for the respray (repaint to those of us in the US of A). You can have a nice double clear coat applied and the work will likely last longer.

Steve,

I doubt you'd be able to find a vinyl wrap that is a good match for the rest of the car. Even if the tint was perfect, I'd think the gloss and overall "feel" will still stand out.

One thought: Instead of going for a match, what if you went with something contrasting? I'm thinking of all those young whippersnappers with carbon fiber hoods and trunk lids on their little hot rods. Not exactly my cup of tea, but I'm sure you could find something with a pattern like that. Or maybe just plain flat black, such as you might see on a race car.

Another idea, if you'd like to wrap the entire car:

Good Lord, I wish that I could "unsee" that! (Please pass the 'eye bleach').
