While checking the FAQ section I ran across the replacement procedure for the lower breather elbow found under the inlet manifold. In one step it is recommended to throw the round bracket away at the back of the manifold as it chafes the wiring harness. There is no doubt that it chafes the wiring harness and during the repair or any time you are under the hood you should reroute the harness to avoid contact with that bracket. Under no circumstances should that bracket be left off of the engine. That bracket was added to the engine after crash testing found the fuel rail breaking during front end impacts and causing major fires. The only purpose of that bracket is to protect the fuel rail and occupants during a crash. PLEASE!!!! Do not leave that bracket off.
