wear on outside of front tires

Took note after 32 thousand miles on my Bridgestones, have excessive wear on the outside of the two front tires. The steering wheel is starting to shim just a bit, nothing drastic and when I hit certain speeds it seems fine which I know is not the fix, keep driving 70
. I have read some threads where most discussion in reference to wear seems to be on the inside. Guessing an alignment issue in my case and also read on other threads postings, specs are there but for the newer S's. Have to replace all 4 tires anyway for inspection and thinking is their anyway I can make some checks myself to see if I just need alignment or could it be something else? I did take a poke upfront a few months ago but not that hard and did not seem to affect anything but could be wrong. It is showing wear on both front tires. Is their a spec listing for alignment for the 2000 on a thread? any help as always appreciated. Here is a pic of what they look like.

Also wanted to ask, went tire shopping and some sites ask to list your car make and year and it gives you back what you need. I was surprised on one it stated 16's. I have 17's on the car right now.

I think it's in the Vehicle Spec file in the FAQs and I think the revised spec (*) for USA/etc perhaps does not apply to the early car.
(*) mentioned in here I think S type alignment specs - after pothole damage FAQ - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

Get an alignment when you get new tires. Use a shop that will give you a print out of "before" and "after" settings. My Firestone auto care shop does that. Scan the print out and post it here in hopes that BRUTAL can take a look at it and let you know if it is good or any changes that may need to be done.

I personally have always felt that the 16's were just too small for these cars. Mine had OEM 17's on it. They were OK.
The OEM tire size is 235/50/17. I ran 245/45/17 on my 2005. Better grip. Less sidewall deflection while cornering. No ride degradation. Very close to OEM outside diameter so no speedo issues either. Thing to pay attention to when shopping this way (without the default "what fits") is load rating. I think the minimum rating is 96 for the S Type, but it's been a while.
The tank I drive now needs a load rating of 100+... Most tires I find for it are listed as "SUV" tires... LOL
