What have I gotten myself into....
Ok well I decided to put on the s/c pulley. Taking it off wasn't too bad, but putting it on is a PITA. So I figured, let's take it out of the car. Will be a great time to replace the coolant hose and maybe track down the vac leak. While I am at it, I will be having the TB bored.

eh... maybe rethink that color... but kudos on going *****-deep into the pulley job, lol!
Did you end up taking off the water cross over in order to cut off the old pulley?
How did cutting off and removing the old pulley go? Did you use a puller once it was cut up, or did it come off easily enough once it was sliced to pieces?
keep up the good work!

Yes, removing it made it tons easier to cut off the old pulley. The problem I ran into was putting the new pulley on. I have a small propane torch and I couldn't get it hot enough to be able to slide it on the shaft.
With the color, I hate to put things back dirty, and I figure with a green car my choices are limited. I think it will look ok (per my mind's eye) but I guess we will see once I gt it all back together!

Remember-Modern PCV systems dump into the intake stream instead of into a filter in the air box like they used to (old folks like me remember cleaning that oily filter stuff in our air cleaners).
Most normal drives don't react that bad but those that are driven a little more enthusiastically tend to blow off more pressure therefore end up with a bunch more oil residue.
I'll snap an actual picture of my throttle body the next time I pull the intake tube, but lets just say mine is squeaky clean.
Here is what I use.
Billet Technology Signature Series Catch Can 5.7 or 6.1 Hemi Engines
The neat thing about theirs is that it is all metal, including the filter media.
Very simple to install just need a place to mount the bracket. I'm sure if you talked to Billet Technologies, they could help with the right hose fittings and a bracket.
Oh, and this isn't the first time I posted about this.... LOL

I did start to see where some things were pretty clean with the meth kit, but the amount of oil crude on the butterfly was crazy. The piece from the tb to the aftercoolers was just as bad. I am sure the aftercoolers are horrible too. I am going to try to soak as many parts as I can to clean them.

It would probably help the 3.0 guys as well since their oil pools in the intake manifold and leaks out the IMT valve....
I found out about the Billet piece when I got my 300. It is all over the forum there.. Pictures of the oil they collect and pictures of clean manifolds and throttle bodies..
I was skeptical at first. My car was in the 36k range when I bought it and was already showing some crud on the throttle body. I cleaned it, and added the catch can for the "heck" of it. I empty it out at every oil change. And clean it once a year. My intake looks great ever since..
