What Tires to buy?
About to buy new tires for my 03 STR. Pep Boys has a price of $763 installed balanced and roadhazard insurance for a set of Falken ZE950's.
I am thoroughly disappointed in the Michelin Pilot Sports on the car now. Dry rotted in 4 years, less than 15000 miles.
Does anyone have experience with these Falken tires?
Thanks for the feedback!

I have Cooper Zeons RS3-As on my XJR and absolutely love them.
They are quiet, grippy in the dry and wet, and have a long lifespan.
I hit a good deal on mine at treaddepot.com
Check out the review from theink below.

Falkens were my tire of choice for my Audis years ago and I was satisfied with both the value and performance.
That was not the case on the last set I purchased for my V70R Volvo. They lasted about 10K. I suspect it was the Firestone Tire manager's idea of using the old non-radial tire rotation plan that did them in but I will never trust the brand again.
I have nothing but praise for the Continental ExtremeContact DWS but no experience with them on my S Type.
You may want to consider something that will allow for side to side rotation.

Tires
just put Nitto's on front and rear. Highly recommended by the Discount Tire folks, so we shall see.........ride and handling seem good, traction good so far -but no burnouts (yet, hah)!
The original Continentals were still on rear, quite worn out with almost 34k on them and yes they were 10 years old! Fronts were replaced with Kumhos by original owner almost 3 years ago, they had a bit over 10K on them and definitely starting to show inside wear......so probably time for an alignment as well. (yes I'm aware of the revised specs and TSB so thanks to all who compiled that info!).

That is what I found on my recent purchase, Nitto Neo all season. So far
with only having less 300 miles on them its hard to tell how well they will
work out. So far they ride great.

I just got back from seeing my used tire pal at TireTown. He recommended a different brand of tire for the S Jags. He said he has never had a problem with them. They are new 235 50 R17.
NEXEN Class Premiere, CP672. Rated 96V M+S. They are made in Korea.
Price for tires, balance, mount, stems and 65,000 mile warranty: $480.
So far, they ride well and are quiet.
