I wanted to take my jag in to the shop for a tune up. I have about 135K on it. what would the mechanic do to the car if I asked for a full tune up? What is a tune up for a jag? And how much would I be looking at?

'Tune ups' went out in the mid 70s when points and condensers, carbs and leaded gas started to disappear.

Aside from the scheduled replacement of consumables like oil, filters and spark plugs as mentioned in the owners manual, there's not much else.

 

But someone SHOULD be checking, looking, listening etc. Codes, fuel trims, oil leaks, air leaks, belts, you name it.
