I don't think you understand what the Copart website is.
The car is currently at $225.
I'm guessing the side damage was repaired and they are disclosing where it was hit but pictures? So we don't know how bad it was.
I don't know if there's some kind of reserve or not. I have seen other vehicles not sell at high bid when there's an insurance company involved.
Has anyone ever bought a car this way?
Title is screwed up of course.
Usually the ones I see are still all screwed up from the accident and suitable for parts.

I like the light blue color; each to their own. Also a base V6. I can't see any damage but I am not sure whether it has been repaired or not. Also no xenons, but does have front and rear park distance. Notice it also has the microphone in the headliner, if you're lucky it might even have bluetooth. Low mileage. Also can't see what year it is but it looks like a late model (2007+).
Personally I'd hold out for a clean V8/STR but I gave up looking for a clean STR as there are so few coming up for sale and the few I looked at all had 'issues'....
Not knowing the damage and whether it has been properly repaired, I wouldn't pay more than $8k for this car.
Salvage title will be a barrier to future sales. Also not a fan of the white interiors (having had 2 Jags with white leather - never again)....

The main problem is the salvage title and possible paper work issues.
I'm not sure how copart works with who pays back reg fees, but I noticed it has no plate. taking the title and mileage in consideration its pry a fresh rebuild that hasn't been registered for a few years so there is most likely a ton of fee's and penalties racked up for the new buyer unless it gets reg out of the state of CA or the dealer pays out.
Most of the time the low mileage salvage cars are prior wrecks and unfortunately most of them don't get repaired correctly because they are for high profit deals. I would advise every one not to buy a salvage car online if you were looking for some thing other than a parts car. The car mite still have some major frame damage and or other expensive problems the rebuilder didn't want to pay for.

Without seeing what happened to this car and how it was repaired you have to assume the worst.
You used to be able to classify a car as being out of use in CA to avoid all the fines etc. Is that no longer the case?
I wonder if some unscrupulous car dealer will snap this up and white wash the title somehow?

Your correct the owner on the title can non opp the car, titles get complicated with wrecks/insurance companies/auctions/rebuilders in these situations and the non opp process tends to get over looked.
