Replaced drooped headlamp (saved the old one so I can practice the screw trick for next time): ~$1500

Pads/rotors (Jaguar parts): $1200

Replace failed headlamp ballast ($350 for the part, but damn it takes a lot of labor to get at the thing): $858

Diagnose/replace failed radio amplifier (part # C2C25736, $2300, go ahead see if you can find a cheaper one, I dare 'ya): $3184...

You dreamed of a big star

So welcome to the machine

March 16th 2015, the day we bought the car, dealer only a single key for
the car. Told him I wanted 2 working key fob sets. He sends us up the
highway to MN only Jag dealer. They take forever and keep coming back
saying it will cost this much more 5 times. Finally they finish and I get the
bill. Ouch, $658 for 2 working key fob sets.

2 weeks later begin to notice the Headlight issue and attempt the screw
repair. Beyond help. The inside were toast. Only mu screw was holding
anything. Start searching online. Find some at Merriam Jaguar that are
not auto-leveling and Halogen for $785 and free shipping. Then the big
job, pulling that front bumper off.

Then I notice when I was going to change oil, no belly pan. There goes
another. Belly pan was only $144. Shipping was $117.

For anyone looking for lights.

Remember Brutal does rebuild/repair them and usually had a couple ready to go. He can fix all the broken parts inside the lights not just the parts that the screw fix takes care of.

Pretty good prices too.

Where's the link for Brutals repair? My old STR had the headlights replaced under certified warranty but a quick fix should save members $

Hint: probably the evidence points elsewhere...

So far the biggest repair bill on mine is for some cosmetic fixes, rust under the tail lights, a spot on the right rear wheel arch, rocker panels and a tiny spot of rust on the front quarter panel, coming in at $2,035.00
