Sorry to hear of your troubles, did the ones you purchased have the newer style growler with jaguar written on it like these :
4 X Black Jaguar FOR X XF XJ 58mm Wheel Center Caps HUB Cover Emblem Bedge | eBay
I bought a set of those as well, and found the same problems you had experienced, they were a little loose and were able to be spun around in the wheel.
The original ones in my first post I found are a pretty good fit, they snap in nice and tight and don't move. If you look at them side by side you can see the quality difference. I have a suspicion they are made in the same factory as the genuine part as they have similar markings on the back. I was so impressed by them I got a second set as spare!

The ones I got (chinese) do not fit. The tabs are too loose. In my efforts to tighten up the fit I ended up breaking one of the tabs off so the entire sets is now useless.
They weren't expensive and they do look just as good as the frankly cheap ones that came with the car so it was worth a shot I suppose.
I'm not sure the plastic is abs quality?
I now have 4 interesting trinkets. Whoopee!
I expect that they're all made in China but hopefully the ones being sold by B&M vendors here in the USA will stand by any fitment issues.

I picked the ones with the "R" emblem. The look of the quality is just fine.
So maybe some tape wrapped around the retainer tabs would fix it. Shrink wrap might be better though.
The originals use the end of tab distance to hold them tight so this would still be a kluge.

In my case I wanted to try a different style center cap.
If I end up with a solution for these I'll report back but today I'm cleaning the car up a bit for a visit to the body show later on.
My neighbor forgot to set the handbrake and his car, it rolled out of the driveway in a big arc and hit mine in the LR fender area!
It's always something ...

Here's what seems to fix these slightly wrong sized centers.
The problem is that the tabs extend too far and so they aren't snug.
The overall diameter is not an issue with the ones I got.
So I took a piece of heat shrink tubing about 1/2" ID and of the thicker grade variety (you may have to double up the thinner stuff). I then cut a length of it about 5/16" long and slipped one of those over each tab so that it began to run up the retainer portion of the tab but not completely over it. Use the heat gun to gently shrink them a bit, wet before insertion (
) and there you go!
Fits just right now.

Then you bought the wrong car.......ie way out of budget......look when I first got my first "exotic" a Lotus.......I was told to count on spending 3500-5000 a year on maintenance.....look at the finances and it was do-able.......I love finding stuff cheaper than I expected but I never complained about the price of parts!!!! You wanted a JAG then you will have to pay Jag prices, just the way it is..![Icon Wake](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wake.gif)
on the center caps I get the cheap chinese ones once they arrive a pry the cheap center cap out and use superglue to reattach....so far so good
