or you search wheels sights for weeks and weeks and make some calls and have everyone tell you nope... those will not fit....and you decide to have your stock wheels painted a custom color and just lower the car because custom wheels and tires are 1/2 as much as the car is worth......oh that's right i did that.......trying to find a aftermarket staggered set that works is near im possible... about the only choice that is reasonable is the Forgstars...

I'm planning on purchasing a set of Forgestar F14's. They are custom made to order and have an aggressive offset. I have been talking to GT42R on this subject and he has no issues with clearance or rubbing. Not sure what's different from the 03 to 07 besides calipers. Also will be lowering the car with H&R springs.

CCW, is another option besides forgestar. Better quality imho and very light, I'm running ccw c2k's 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear with slightly lower than factory offset and factory size Bridgestone So4 rubber. Also lowered on H&R with zero rubbing issues

They are also twice the price. I haven't heard about quality issues with Forgestar, what am I missing? Any reason you stuck with 18s instead of going to 19s?

Wanted to keep what little sidewall was there. Also wanted to not add any extra unsprung weight to the corners as this car gets the occasional track day and regular hard driving and the ccw wheels actually reduced that as they are lighter than factory
Google forgestar wheel faliure then google ccw wheel faliure... if the Internet has proven to be one thing it's a place where people come to complain about bad experiences, there's lots of complaining about forgestar. There's a reason they are so cheap, you get what you pay for with wheels. Not saying they are bad, just seems to be quite a few problems

Damn, CCW's on your STR? gotta post pics! Although if I was going to put custom made wheels on an STR, it would have to be one size up 19"... 18" just too small... and it's an STR, more of a cruiser, so all out performance isn't the focus for me personally.
CCW makes some of the highest quality wheels I've seen, but you pay for it!
Personally, I can't complain about the quality of my forgestars, fairly lightweight too, and the price is great.
Most of the complains I've seen related to production lead-times... If you dig long enough, you'll find alleged quality issues with almost any custom wheel...

So I'm not a wheel expert by any means. Offset yadda yadda is greek to me. I've always gone to the wheel shop and bought wheels and hub centric rings.
Saying that to say this, CarId.com has a large selection of wheels that "supposedly" will fit an 07 STR. I know that in the past I was looking for a different set of wheels for my car and if they did not fit, a message would appear saying so.
Is carid blowing smoke?
I also thought I read on here a while back that TSW makes Coventry wheels. If that is so, there are a lot of TSW wheels available.

All of the ones I can find that carID is showing are 8.5" wide, the stock rears on the STR are 9.5" wide, by dropping an inch of width you can fit a lower offset wheel. 1 inch is about 24mm so you could fit an 8.5 ET 36 in place of the 9.5 ET 60. However good luck getting that 275mm tyre back on.
