When to Clean the Fuel Injectors ?

For those of you with the 3.0 Duratech engine and more than 50,000 miles on your car, have you given any thought to having your fuel injectors professionally cleaned? If you've already done so, did you notice an immediate difference in performance, fuel economy, etc?
When doing my research on the S-Type prior to purchasing ours nearly a year ago, Real Tech (remember him?) pointed out that the orifices in the S-Type's fuel injectors are among the most microscopic in the industry and typically need cleaning at more frequent intervals than other sedans in its class, sometimes in as little as 30,000 miles. While I add a bottle of Chevron Techron to the gas tank at every oil & filter change I do (6,000-mile intervals), given our car's intermittent misfire issues back in early September and early October I'm thinking that a professional fuel injector cleaning may be of significant benefit to our particular vehicle.
What have you 3.0 owners done to clean your fuel injectors (and to attempt to keep them as clean as possible on an ongoing basis)? By the way, our S-Type is now approaching 38,000 miles....

Your post stands but S-Type injectors are nothing like as fine as the ones being put on more recent designs of car - some of which do multiple squirts per firing. And some have horrific fuel pressures (like diesels). Gotta love the technology to get lower emissions (better fuel economy etc). Did I mention the higher voltage (65V) injectors? eek.
