Whining High Pitch Radio Frequency Noise On Startup
Hello,
I recently did a tune up + gasket and coil replacement on my V6 S Type. when replacing the manifold I didnt put the brake line hose thingy in the right spot at it got squished by the manifold. I noticed it pretty quickly (after not being able to brake properly) and fixed it. Even though the hose is squished, my brakes work fine. I decided to keep it on until I can get a day to replace it. Ever since whenever i turn my car on, I get hear a radio frequency on start up, acceleration and when I turn my car off it finally goes away. Lifted the hood and it sounds like its comimg from that same area but I am not sure. Has anyone heard a noise like this coming from their car before??
Sorry no codes, no check engine light. I woudl just like to have a few ideas to check out before I just go tinkering around the hood and all.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I bet it is really the hose you are hearing making a harmonic vibration - you indicate that the hose is still crushed?
My Jeep produced a whine similar to a ground loop frequency noise that can come from a radio - I found it was the crankcase ventilation hose, it had become weak and under vacuum it would actually pinch itself shut in the middle and produce a high pitched whine.
Turn your radio off. Does the noise remain when you start/drive the car?

I know that the first time I had removed the brake booster vacuum line from the rear of the manifold, I messed up the quick connect coupler pressed into the manifold.
Thankfully I was able to purchase a replacement quick connect quickly (although Wayne, Scott Jaguars 20+ year parts guy had never even seen one before).

On the back of each cylinder head there should be a 'black box'. They are bolted to to the rear of each head to GROUND. They are ignition suppression capacitors and when they fail, it kills the ignition. If they are not in the circuit, you might hear ignition 'whine'.
They have a GREEN/BLUE wire to each. Make sure they are bolted to the head and the wires are not cut/damaged or left unplugged.
There are some issues with the heated rear screen/antenna module.
Here is a TSB for the faults.
