wife leaving..my project list!!
for a week on a trip with her sister,
I have everything stealithly on its way for a nice upgrade of the STR
Mafiosos intake(today)
Mina exhaust, tomorrow
Pulley, next week
plugs and oil..whenever
clear side markers, tomorrow
however, i have also been extensively reading about the zf trans and the kit from klause
I have zero leaks and the trans operates perfectly but i have 62K on her
do i really need to do the whole kit and drop/replace the pan thing..or what about just doing the fluid. i know its a matter of choice. I have no issue doing that whole project myself, im adept..but is it a do it now or later period, or is it a , do the fluid only if there are no other issues type of thing

fergs, when yer ready for hi-flo cats read up on the threads. In a week my STR is going in for: remove 1.5 lb pulley, pop on 3 lb pulley, bypass TB coolant lines, intake elbow, NGK plugs, possibly an ECU tune. Off to the dyno from there. Very exciting developments are happening with the STR from guys such as yourself and Mad Man Mafioso (MMM).

hey....have you looked at the denso plugs vs the ngk..the denso are a 4 mm tip with a groove vs the 6mm on the ngk... 4mm means less resisence = better spark ...denso more $$ but something to think about.....also , you said to leave my trans alone....I assume you mean leave the pan on and dont do that kit project...but I still should change the fluid I would think yes??

Personally I would stick with the NGK's

ZF tech support in Chicago has advised me to leave our perfectly-functioning transmission alone until at least 80,000 miles. Of course, developing the dreaded sleeve leak would change that plan pronto. But at just under 57,000 miles right now, I'm taking ZF tech support's advice. That advice is based upon a 50/50 mix of highway/city driving, no towing, no dirt or gravel roads, and no hot-rodding. Make your own judgments based upon where and how you happen to drive....

Both the NGK and Denso Iridiums are of 4mm gap bro, take a look here on Rockauto and fill in the blanks to get to all the spark plugs to view.

Negative..NGK 0.6 mm laser welded electrode
Denso 0.4 mm...worlds smallest..thats their selling point

Click here, our NGK iridium stock# for our STR is 7886 (0.40mm) & Denso iridium #3356 which actually shows it has a gap of .044mm; Sparkplugs chart-->http://www.sparkplugs.com/results_app.asp?aaia=1410635

LOlzz...bro I guess the Denso's got some competition then because I searched all around before I bought my NGK's and used Rockauto.com as my reference when I bought my NGK iridiums from them, it list the Denso and NGK iridiums both at a gap of 0.4mm for our STR's I'm not sure which NGK you are looking that has a gap of .6mm.

My bad I thought you were referring to the Gap size and that too I was stating it in Inches .040" (1.016mm).
Since the Denso's are at .4mm like you mentioned being the thinnest as compared to NGK's at .7mm at the center electrode. The only thing negative about the Denso's would be that the NGK .7mm plugs will last you 100k before replacement, while the Denso .4mm plugs will last you 60k. Both are elite sparkplugs no doubt and even the newer jaguar XF's are now having NGK spark plugs as OEM.
Take it easy. and good luck!
