Not the same engine i'm afraid....

The S-Type V6 (and the V6 used in the X-Type, X350, and the early XF's) was a Ford Duratec unit with some Jaguar-specific modifications.

The new Supercharged V6 is basically a cut-down version of the AJ133 V8, no relation to the old Ford V6...

darn, was worried about it not being the same engine when i read earlier that for the ftype the new engine was debuted in 2013, well it was worth a shot at asking though.. now i need to find a crashed ftype and yank the engine and tranny out and put in my stype.. yay an 8 speed s-type!

Edit: going to do some research and see if it will bolt up easily (preferably without new mounts) i dont have high hopes for that... but a guy can dream

Why is it the people that buy the bare bones model instead of the high performance one always have the weirdest most outrageous power addon fantasies?

And seemingly no concept of the huge (as in: HUGE) cost even to attempt an upgrade!

i can tell you why... people like me exist who didnt get the high performance v8 like they wanted... even though it was my money i was spending, my parents refused me to get any of the v8s i looked at, im only 23 and will be on their insurance for approx 2-3 more years, so that is simply the only reason! however its my first car i bought with my own money and im proud of it, love it to death, ignore my run on sentences, too tired to write like im in english class, but what does it hurt to ask if there is an aftermarket supercharger out there for it? hell my friend has a 2001 blazer and he managed to supercharge it... so why not? and its a v6...

Production numbers. There were only about 10,000 S-Types built in 2004. how many V6's? certainly not all of them.

Chevy probably built 50,000 Blazers in 2002. Aftermarket suppliers like big production numbers. It's the only way to remain profitable.

Like I said earlier, anything you can think of is possible depending on how much work and money you want to put in it.

There is a supercharger of an older XJR in the classifieds right now... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/p...et-more-88896/

Google STS rear mount turbo, much easier than what you have in mind.

Is/was your motor setup from factory supercharged? I would honestly go with a turbo, less hassle IMO generally cheaper pieces ( find old cummins turbos, diesel turbos etc at salvage yards) no added belts, less parasitic drain, etc But if it's factory na the compression may be too high to safely introduce forced induction without having meth injection or something similiar. A turbo setup ideally would be above engine so oil can drain down, remote setups need an external oil pump to operate correctly. I speak from experience.

You would need a compression ratio of around 8:1 for a SC and Im sure that a NA engine will be much higher. Buy a STR...

Maybe get in touch with these guys? Tom Morana Racing Engines

They list some supercharger kits for Ford V6's, maybe something like that could be adapted...
