Welcome to the forum epinc,
YES - the XK8/XKR regulator is a completely different design. Here's the diagram for the S-Type regulator from the Parts Catalogue which may help identify the screw you need:

Thank you, GGG, for the diagram of the parts. That is what my 2006 SType regulator does in fact look like. However, I can't find any place for an adjustment to the travel of the window glass, nor an accompanying access hole. I thought there would be some type of tensioner wheel for the wire that runs in the metal channels, but I don't see any. It appears the window glass is seated as far down in the glass holders as is possible. Any further thoughts?

Timely to remind all "new" members that the value of intro includes learning of our thingy called Sticky 'How To' . . . huge range of all manuals, wiring diagrams, TSBs and all those great guides written up by skilled members.
Just my 2c so don't shoot me, but so frustrating to see newcomers trying to maintain an exotic machine with no access to manuals, not even basic diagnostic tools, and no clue they are all here either free or just a few dollars away.
Cheers,
Ken
