Default Window trim

Has anyone tried to polish the aluminum trim surrounding the windows? I know polishing by hand is fruitless, so I thought I'd fire up the Dremel on low speed with some felt cones and try to resurrect it. I have a tube of Griot's metal polish and an old tube of Wenol polish, but I'm unsure if either of these are the right choice. Any thoughts on which polish to use?

I'll bet they're still sparkling in the sunshine too!

If you don't want to go to the trouble and expense that Rick did in having his trim cleaned and chromed, I've found that keeping a coat of plain old carnauba paste wax on the trim does a great job of hiding the discoloration. During the cold-weather months, ours will stay looking good for perhaps 45 to 60 days before it needs another coat. During the hot-weather months, 30 days is about as long as my wax can keep the discoloration at bay. I've stuck with this approach for more than three years now because it's cheap and easy. I can wax and buff all of our S-Type's window trim in about five minutes....
