Windshield washers, Grrr...
First winter storm since getting my S-Type and the windshield washers are already bunged up... :-(
Knew there was a storm arriving so I placed a windshield weather cover the glass and wipers to protect them. Storm left 6" of snow that cleaned off easily.
But, after cleaning the car the temperature shot up to about 40 degrees and it rained. Within a couple of hours the temps dropped into the 20s and everything froze solid. Needless to say the windshield was covered by a skating ring by the time I went out to move the car.
And in attempting to crack the ice off the windshield my scraper obviously hit the wiper blade on the driver's side and did some damage that I didn't realize until this morning when I went out to clean even more ice that formed over night and tried to use the windshield washer to loosen up the thin layer of ice. I found that the spray shot off to the left from somewhere just before the washer nozzle. The feed line is still in place so the it must be holed but I felt things quickly with my fingers but couldn't locate anything quickly.
Damn, first storm out and the windshield washers are even more vulnerable then I thought.
And no, I didn't put the windshield cover back on after cleaning the snow, I mean, the storm was over right... :-(
I knew that I would miss my X-Type with the heated windshield!!!

Jaguar - it's not an automobile, it's a Motorcar, but not too happy about it at this point
