Default Windshield wiper blades for 2003 S-type (base, not turbo)

I'm trying to figure out what I need to buy for wiper blades. I'm on amazon
2003 Jaguar S-Type: Blades: Amazon.com: Part Finder 2003 Jaguar S-Type: Blades: Amazon.com: Part Finder

and that breaks it down to products that fit the jaguar stype 2003, but what sizes do I need to buy? I need two and one is longer than the other... do I just get refilled wipers or do I buy entire new blades?

Whenever I turn them on they're streaking and overall ****, so I would like to get new ones, whatever they are.

Thanks guys sorry if it's a dumb question :9

Yep I just posted my intro. Pretty excited about being on these forums... I never really took car maintenance serious but I'd like to learn for years on down the road. Thanks for your answer Any recommendations?

Norri gave you the size.. (LOL I think he is right). If you are in doubt, get a tape measure and measure them. You can buy anything that you like, from Bosch solid Icon blades to just about anything else since your car is "pre" 05 and has washer nozzles on the hood.

I mention this because if you search for threads you are going to actually find a ton...since the integrated nozzle on the 05 and up car is a pain to get a blade to fit outside the factory ones.

But you don't have to worry about that. Any brand will be OK...

Do I buy the full blade or do I get the "refills"?

I'm guessing the refills slide into the old blades? If I get blades I have to unscrew the wiper blade arm to install?

Is this correct? thanks again!

No 19" and 24". Please look at the very detailed threads on this forum because the 2003 and up S Type has a painful and non-standard setup. Follow what the guys have figured out here.

It is much more complicated than it should be.

Since you have not searched try this:

My blades are the ones that do NOT shoot liquid out of them, my windshield liquid comes out of the top of my hood.

Does that still pertain to me?

The full blade is the easiest to do. No need to mess with the arms. They are a standard hook design.

Tbird... the 05 and up are the PIA... the 03 and 04 cars still had the nozzles on the hood like the pre-03 cars...

Thanks again and yeah I'm pretty sure it's not for my year.

Would you recommend any of the blades on that amazon link in my OP? I have to buy a 24" and a 19", right? I'd listen to anyones opinion on what is better I live in the midwest so the snow can be brutal sometimes.

I personally would get Bosch Icon blades. I use them on all my cars ( now that I don't have my 05 S type ;P ) They are a little more than the others but I get about two years out of a set even in N/E Ohio with work in the lower snow belt.

Please measure yours before you order... Auto Zone lists your car as having a 24" drivers side and a 18" passenger side. The early cars had 22" blades on both sides. So, if both your drivers and passengers side blades measure the same size then you have 22", if not then definitely check the passengers side to see if it is fitted with an 18" or 19" blade. After sizing, like I said, just get what you want in the correct size, you have a standard hook style wiper arm without the nozzle....

BTW, my 05 had 24" drivers and 19" passengers...

Welcome to the crazy world of Jaguar...LOL

Hmm... my passenger measured 23.5" and my driver side measured 27.5" from blade end to blade end.

Maybe I'm measuring the wrong part? Don't know how that could be the case...

Doing the simple math... you will be safe with 24 and 19.....

Ummm ahhh, OK, let that one slide.

I have 19" and 24" on my 2003.

I fitted winter blades for the first time this year, Reflex brand 021-1103-0 and 012-1107-2 but it might be that these are available in Canada only.

I have similar ones and just asked my dealer for refills. I never actually measured them!

I don't buy a lot of things from the dealer but these were cheap enough.
I buy the jag oil filter, pollen filter, air filter, touch-up paint, too.

How come mine measured so big? Was I supposed to measure the insides of them and not edge to edge? :confused

Not to be too curt, but I really don't know how you got that... The rubber that touches the window is what you normally would measure... but don't sweat it.. I just subtracted 24 from your drivers side measurement then applied the same difference to the other side... LOL..

See... they also list 19" passenger side blades as fitting as well... I figure either size fits.. 18 or 19. The fact that you have larger on the drivers side was really all I needed......

Just buy a 24" drivers and 19" passengers and you will be good to go... and, sure the RainX brand is OK as well, just not my personal preference.
