19" and 24' is correct according to PepBoys wiper manual. Not all blade replacements work on the 2003, as the hook for my '03 S-Type is definitely larger than on my 2001 S-Type. So while the RainX Weatherbeaters would not fit on my '03 hook, the RainX Latitudes fit like a glove (and PepBoys installs them for free).

RainX Latitudes are premium blades, so you'll pay a little more for them. But the one piece beam design, along with being top rated by Consumer Reports a few yrs back becuase of their greater durability, make them well worth the money. They work great on my '03.

STUPID QUESTION TIME -- does this mean that I have to buy 4 blades and only use two? (I know, if that's the case I have two spares!) Or, can I find individual blades? (Told you it was a stoopid question! LOL)

You should be able to get single blades at the right length.

I've never seen blades sold as pairs. Most (many?) modern cars have asymmetrical lengths.

Mikey is correct. Blades are generally packaged as single blades so you can mix & match sizes according to the specs of your particular ride.

While you might save a few $$ installing refills, I wouldn't waste my time. Save yourself lots of time and aggravation - just buy the replacement blades.

You can buy the RainX blades online for about $16 US.

Oops! Yes you are correct! The 2005-2008 have the washers mounted on the wiper arm.

I guess I was remembering many years ago when I'd buy the refill blades, I thought I remembered them coming in boxes of two, but maybe not.

I went to a local store (Menards, for those who know where to "save big money!" LOL) and bought Rain X replacement blades for around $20 for both. Installation wasn't as easy as I thought, the passenger's side went on without too much trouble, but I soon realized that the trick was to re-use the clips from the old wiper arm -- once I figured that out, the driver's side snapped on with ease.

Now, as would be expected, I can SEE!!!! Thanks for all the help!

Mike

I ended up ordering these from Amazon, installation was extremely easy for the driver side once I figured out how to do it on the passenger.

Follow the instructions for the "J bar" on the pamplhet they give with each blade, after popping out a few of the center pieces on the equipment and putting the universal clip in the middle, it all slid together and clicked easily.

Installing the second blade literally took less than 45 seconds after I figured it out on the first.

Blades work great!!

I too remember when refills were sold in pairs but that was back when I drove a Flintstonemobile. Seems there is nothing, including wipers, that is uncomplicated about a modern car. $20 for the RainX Latitudes is a very good deal. Congrats on solving your problem.
