Default Wiper blade issues

Does anyone know how to balance the blade so it has full contact along its full length? I just replaced the passenger side wiper blade on the wife's 05 s type, and the end closest to the bottom of the windshield is raised up. Getting about 50% wiping.....
Any suggestions?

In case it comes up, the wiper had an aftermarket blade installed already, this was a duplicate wiper blade.

I swapped the OE wipers for flat aero blade types. Ive found they work better and longer than the OE fitments. I replace them every year as a matter of course. Never had any problems with missing any part of the screen with the first two sets, but this last one set poor contact on the right hand side wiper at the full extension of its travel in the center of the blade. Nothing major but its noticeable. As the left hand wiper split yesterday, Ive just ordered a new set of flat aero blades.
Cost anything from £6 a pair up to £50 a pair for Bosch.
But overall they do a better job imho.

On my '01 S-Type, I found that the wiper arm was loose on the "gear" that moves the arm and blade back and forth. In other words, there's a nut that tightens the wiper arm on the end of the transmission shaft and it can work itself loose. If there's no problem with the actual wiper arm or blade, it may just be loose and not able to maintain its preload against the windshield.

Does that make sense?

I had this same issues on my 2008, it took a bit of creative bending of the thinner outermost metal wiper arm with needle nose pliers cover with duct tape to prevent scratching. After I was done, full contact throughout the entire wipe cycle. Took hours of futzing and putzing to figure out, but it took only 5 minutes to execute.

Sounds like something is loose, bent, or the blades are installed incorrectly. I use RainX blades from Walmart. They are fine.
