These fit with No adapters the are made for the job.
Thanks for the suggestion Zenman. I am new to the forum, having just bought an S Type and you have solved one of my 2 (pretty minor) problems. Cheers,

You can buy from a Place Called RockAuto Auto Parts (Found out about this place at the Jaguar and Corvette show many of the forum members attended last year up in Pittsburg PA) replacement rubber and blades which are manufactured by TRICO wiper and blades that will fit the 2005 Jaguar S-Type R. I purchased some and keep a spare set in the garage in case of emergencies. I'm posting the part number and price of the ones I purchased from their web site and they're a perfect fit for the 2005 with it's funky wiper assembly

TRICO Part # 15190 Teflon Blade; 19" (480mm) 7mm Bayonet, 2-Screw Bayonet, 7/9mm Hook Type, 3/16" Side Lock, Pin Type Side Lock
Use original adaptor and wet arm clip.; Right $8.38

TRICO Part # 15240 Teflon Blade; 24" (600mm) 9mm Hook Type, 9x4 Hook Type, 1/4" Side Lock
Use original adaptor and wet arm clip.; Left $10.23

This is directly from their website. The cost is less than the replacement rubbers from Jaguar also.

Shameless plug, I'm selling brand new, unused UK blade-type 05+ wipers for $40 shipped to the US...

Here's a pic and my ad in the for sale section...

I've always been able to find the Trico insert refill blades at my local NAPA for about $5 each. Sometimes they have them in stock, sometimes they have to order them for next-day arrival. I typically replace them once a year just before the car is due for its annual state inspection. Most inspection shops here will fail your blades if they show even the slightest amount of wear-and-tear....

You can't even order them on-line anymore.
Most local stores near me don't have them in their computer inventory but I went to the store and they had them.

I suspect that these are going away soon. At least at Napa.

Sure hope they don't disappear at NAPA. Nothing else comes close from a cost-effective wiper blade refill perspective. To be on the safe side, I'll probably buy multiple sets next time I set foot in my local NAPA store....

If I was to get refills I'd probably do those with the arms still attached.
Is there some trick to getting the wiper arm off the shaft? I removed the retaining nut, but I can't seem to get the arm off the shaft. I don't want to force anything. Thanks.

I haven't done that so I can't help you there. But as this thread is about wiper "blades" I have to ask what is your reason for changing the arms?

The arms are fixed on a tapered spline. You can get a special puller to get them off or you can use a lever of some sort under the arm, keep the nut on a couple of threads so the arm doesn't fly off and take care not to damage anyting with your lever.

Oh Gawd I just bought a set of RainX! wish I would have read this post first.
My car came with what looks like one piece goodyear wipers which I was able to get off I just disconnected the the feed tube to the nozzle. The RainX fits tight at the hook end so I will have to break out the dremel tool and grind out the inside. The guy at the parts store told me for the 07' S type they are 19" and 24".
With that said they seem to be working pretty damn good a lot better than the ones that were on there before but I am concerned about the stiffness at the hook end.
